Sunday afternoons at Jaipur Polo Grounds are turning out to be happening affairs as the who’s who of the city turns up to watch the game and spend some leisurely time with friends. Last Sunday, too, the ground was abuzz as Delhi witnessed the Havana Cavalry Gold Cup 2021.
The afternoon, hosted by Chetan Seth, had Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat as the chief guest, who did the honours by throwing the ball to start the match. Kabir Bedi, who attended the match with his wife Parveen Dusanj, was the guest of honour. Among others present were British High Commissioner Alex Ellis, Dr Naresh Trehan, animal rights activist Ambika Shukla and supermodel Lakshmi Rana.
The action-packed match saw the two teams, Achievers and MAS, compete in the four rounds. Achievers won the match by one goal.
